If you want to see fall but with less activity take a ride on the two-mile chairlift. In ten minutes you will reach the 3,050’ summit of Windham Mountain, where astonishing Catskill Mountain views await you in every direction. Bring a picnic and a blanket and cozy up to the sites of Windham, NY.
Another gorgeous place to visit this fall is Olana State Historic Site. Home of Frederic Edwin Church, it is one of the major figures in the Hudson River School of landscape painting.
