Before we know it, the leaves will be changing, and summer will be over. So before that happens, make sure you enjoy the last few weeks of summer in Windham Mountain. Everything you want to do, our Catskill Resort offers.
Our location presents all types of hikes for you to choose from. For incredible panoramic views of the Catskill Mountains and Hudson Valley, try Windham High Peak via Burnt Knob. This trail follows a 7.3-mile in-and-back path that takes about 5 hours to complete. This hike is more challenging featuring a stiff climb, so stock up on snacks at The Pantry by Albergo.
The end of summer can bring some hot sunny days, so it is essential to take a moment to cool off. Dolans Lake Park offers the perfect swimming spot with picnic tables and a pavilion to get out of the sun. With plenty of room in this park-like setting, you don’t have to worry about finding a spot on the shore. During the summer, a lifeguard is on duty to make sure everyone can have fun while staying safe.
With limited summer months, it is crucial to get your tee times in when you can. At the top of the list has to be the Mountain Course at Christman’s Country Club. At 7,150 yards set on 200 acres, this course is the longest and largest course in the region. The mountain course provides spectacular scenery and rewarding golf shots on every hole. Enjoy gorgeous Historic Colonial-style buildings with modern facilities, all while preserving the setting’s rural charm.
While every season at Windham Mountain is beautiful, the summer months bring plenty of activities you do not want to miss. When you stay at Albergo Allegria, you will have plenty of amenities, from spacious rooms to homemade baked goods. We want to ensure that your stay, no matter the season, is exactly what you imagined.
