Alpine Skiing
The mountainous terrain is one of Catskills’ signature geographic features. For this reason, the Catskills has ski resorts all over the place. Frequent skiers enjoy Catskills’ alpine skiing because our area experiences significant snowfall every year—whichever ski resort you check out, you’ll quickly notice the smooth slopes (unlike the artificial, icy slopes at other resorts.) Whether you’re a seasoned skier or just a rookie, you’ll find skiing in Catskills, NY, to be a dang good time.

The Adaptive Sports Foundation
We often forget how fortunate we are to experience these Catskills winter sports. There are some children and adults who would love to try alpine skiing, snow tubing, or snowmobiling, but they struggle with various disabilities. With the help of The Adaptive Sports Foundation, athletes of all ages who struggle with cognitive or physical disabilities can experience multiple sports and recreational activities. The ASF Winter Program offers recreational skiing and snowboarding. Guests begin by sliding into fitness equipment and meeting their instructors. Then, you’ll head to Windham Mountain, which is just steps outside of the ASF Center, and start your lesson! The ASF provides a life-changing experience to travelers that are passionate about Catskills’ winter sports. However, it’s essential to share that this wonderful cause wouldn’t be possible without thecommunity’s support.
