- Breakfast is NOT included?

Guests, please allow me to bring clarity to this new restructuring venture. We are very pleased to announce many positive changes to the inn. As of November 1st, 2019, Albergo Allegria restructured as a Hotel & Breakfast Restaurant. We still offer the same delicious breakfast food that we are known for, it is just not included in our room rates. This change has allowed us to be more price competitive in our local and regional lodging markets. With our updates we are able to offer extended breakfast hours and serve 7am-11am daily (closed Thursdays).
Our menu selection changes every day based on the freshest, seasonal ingredients. We feature Garden-to-Table offers when harvesting from the inn’s thirteen raised vegetable and herb beds. Although the components change daily, we offer the following main entree selections every day, in addition to many stationary menu items:
Two Eggs Your Way with one of many sides to choose from ($4.50)
Sunrise Savory $8.80 (Soft scrambled eggs, light and fluffy, gently cooked with specialty cheeses)
Sweet Start Entree $7.50-$9.50 (either Pancakes, Waffles, or French Toast… the choices will rotate on our menu during your stay)
Heritage Fritatta $12.50 (Our open-faced omelet features delicious, culinary-crafted toppings, fresh mozzarella cheese, and a sprinkle of “Grandma Anna’s” seasoned breadcrumbs)
Signature Omelet $12.50 (Stuffed with ever-changing selections, carefully paired with a cheese that compliments its flavor profile)
During breakfast service, your room rate includes Brewed Coffee or our Brick Wall of Tea selection (over 40+ teas), as well as Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate
Breakfast Hours :

- The Breakfast Restaurant is Closed on Thursday mornings (open on holiday weeks)
- Largest table size: 6 guests (ages 0-100)
Our wildly popular Guest Pantry will continue to add value to your reservation with complementary iced tea, iced coffee, lemonade, our extended hot tea selection, locally roasted coffee, and plenty of hydration from the water cooler. The pantry will continue to offer delicious, home made cookies from our kitchen during your stay between the hours of Noon and 6:00am. During morning service hours 6:00am to Noon, the pantry will not be accessible to guests. We will continue to do our utmost to cater to our guests’ dietary restrictions: Please remember to mark these down under “notes” when you make your online reservations on our independent website, AlbergoUSA.com.
Another fantastic update is the option of ordering additional baked goods from our Kitchen of Happiness culinary team when you make your reservation. Once updated, our AlbergoUSA.com website will offer the option of purchasing select baked items for your stay that will be available in your room upon arrival (or upon request if you want them on a specific day). This change will allow these baked goods (formally known as “tea time treats on Saturday”) to be available seven days a week (with advanced order placement).

We have wine glasses, champagne flutes, corkscrews and bottle openers for your use. We do not currently have a wine, beer, or liquor license.
- Cell Phones?
Some cell phones do not receive signals due to our mountain location. Please check our 12496 zip code with your service provider. For guests renting the Farmhouse in Maplecrest (zip code 12454), cell phone reception is sketchy at best… check with your service provider before your arrival.
- Children Accepted/Additional People in a Room?
People or Person(s) is defined as: anyone between the age of 0-100 years old. Albergo Allegria has 7 rooms that can accommodate four people. Another 2 rooms can accommodate three people. No room will accommodate more than 4 people. A family (or group) of five or more will need to reserve two rooms, please call for details. Additional persons need to be reserved PRIOR to arrival and documented in your reservation confirmation. Arriving with additional UNREGISTERED person(s) may result in your reservation being cancelled upon check in, or being required to book an additional room if one is available. There is a $25 per person, per night, charge for an additional person in a room PROVIDING it can accommodate one. Again, regardless of age, additional person(s) must be registered prior to arrival.

- Check In / Check Out Times?
We are Innkeepers that live onsite and are available to our guests 24 hours a day. When booking, let us know your estimated arrival time and we will do our best to assure your room will be ready for you. It is common practice that our rooms are sparkling clean and ready to check into by 4:00pm.
Check out time is 11:00am.
- Gratuities? Friendly efficient and service-minded staff offer classic hospitality.
Gratuities are not included in the room rates, however, are left up to your discretion. Feel welcome to leave housekeeping gratuities in your guestroom or with Marianna or Leslie and they will split it between staff members that worked each day of your stay. Suggested Housekeeping Gratuity– $4 per/person/ per day. Breakfast gratuities can be added to your breakfast bill, or left at your breakfast table.
- Internet Access?
Albergo Allegria Inn offers free property wide WiFi for our guests.
- Climate Control?
All guest rooms feature individual thermostats to control heat. A/C units are operable only during the Summer months; gas-log fireplaces are operable only during the Autumn/Winter months.
- Items left at the Inn?
Check your room carefully for all belongings before checking out. Forgotten items will only be mailed back if you call within 2 weeks of your departure date. Their postage can be charged to your credit card number with a $5 minimum fee.
- Massage Oils?
If you bring them, indulge! Just ask for a beach towel, as massage oils will ruin the bedding.
The Albergo Allegria inn’s parking lot provides ample free parking. Let us know if you need more than one space. TESLA drivers, give us a call and we can tell you about our outdoor outlets you can plug into!
Albergo Allegria hotel can accommodate groups in the months of May and June. There are a number of area restaurants for wedding receptions. We are not equipped to host ceremonies or receptions onsite. Our goal is to have all our guests feel welcomed, therefore, we are unable to accommodate groups other times of the year. Being a 21 room property, having a number of rooms that ‘are all together’ effects the other guests’ experience; common areas are unintentionally capitalized by groups leaving non-group guests overcrowded.
- Animals: Service, Therapy, ESA, Pets
Although we personally like animals, Albergo Allegria is an allergen-free hotel and will only accommodate service dogs under ADA specifications. It is best practice to inform the front desk When You Make Your Reservation that you are traveling with your service dog. Legitimate Service Dogs will be welcomed. In order to ensure your needs, and those of your service dog are met, your innkeeper will review and offer our service dog protocol document.
Any dog, not classified under the ADA and DEPARTMENT of JUSTICE as a service dog, is strictly prohibited for registered guests. There are no exceptions, regardless of produced paperwork. Therapy Animals, Emotional Support Animals, and Pets are NOT Service Dogs as per the ADA and Department of Justice definitions.
As per ADA regulations, service dogs MUST remain in the care of their handler AT ALL TIMES: service dogs cannot be left in the hotel room at any point; service dogs that are not fully trained, or retired, are likewise prohibited. If a legitimate service dog(s) is not behaving properly as per ADA regulations, it will be required to leave the facility. Damages caused to hotel property by a service dog will be charged to your card. You are responsible for any damages caused to other service dogs, people, and property.
The ADA has regulations in place that protect the service dog handler, and the hotel- as well as its guests and employees. Please be aware of ADA, Federal, and Local agency regulations. Arriving with a fraudulent service dog(s) will result in your reservation being cancelled and your deposit being forfeited.
“Final Rule to Amend the Department of Justice’s Regulation Implementing Title II of the ADA
Service Animals. The rule defines “service animal” as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. The rule states that other animals, whether wild or domestic, do not qualify as service animals. Dogs that are not trained to perform tasks that mitigate the effects of a disability, including dogs that are used purely for emotional support, are not service animals.
Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls.”

- Rates – why do they change?
The rates fluctuate throughout the year. Like the airlines, an algorithm will decrease the per night fee taking into account weekday vs. weekend lodging, the time of year, holiday periods, and simply supply and demand of available rooms. However, the BEST Guaranteed Rates will always be found here, on our independent website. It’s best practice to type into your browser, www.AlbergoUSA.com to ensure a third party is not hijacking your search.
- Cancellation Policy?
It is best practice to type www.AlbergoUSA.com into your browser to ensure a third party booking site doesn’t hijack your search. If you book through a third party (they are called OTA’s- Other Travel Agencies – like Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia.co, etc.) the cancellation policy you agree to there will be enforced. Another reason to book online directly with us!
WHEN you book directly with us online through AlbergoUSA.com, we will do our best to re-rent cancelled room(s) and replace (duplicate) your reservation.
Although the cancellation policy can be viewed before you complete your reservation through our booking software, it will sometimes differs between weekday and weekend. However, it is primarily as follows:
For multiple night’s stay:
50% deposit processed on your card when reservation is made. Cancellations or alterations 14 days prior to your arrival, your deposit will be refunded back to your credit card on file, less a 20% handling fee. Cancellations or alterations within 14 days prior to your arrival, if we are able to duplicate your reservation for another guest, your deposit will be refunded to to your card on file, less a 20% handling fee; however, if we are unable to duplicate your reservation, the deposit will be forfeited.
For Single night stay:
Same as above, except the deposit processed on your credit card when the reservation is made is for the full amount (100%) not half.
- Conference Venue?
Albergo Allegria Hotel offers the perfect venue for small executive conferences. We have hosted conferences for Johnson & Johnson, Exxon Mobil, Whole Foods, New York State Department of Tax and Finance and the Motorcycle Industry Council. Located in Windham, NY Albergo Allegria is a convenient choice for Hudson Valley companies.
Our first floor parlor offers a relaxed and intimate atmosphere conducive to small group sessions, and our breakfast room offers ample space for presentations and larger sessions. All of our guestrooms have a full private bath, HDTV/DVD, and complimentary property-wide WiFi. Enjoy a garden-to-table ala cart breakfast menu, complimentary soft drinks, hot beverages, and fresh baked coffee break treats with your conference plan reservation.
